Warranty Policy for SVP Resellers


     
 
Limited warranty


This warranty is available to consumers only. You are a consumer if you own a SVP product which was purchased at a reseller for personal, family or household use. Except as otherwise required under applicable law, this warranty is not available to retailers or other commerical purchasers or owners.

We warrant that your SVP product will be free of defects in materials and workmanship under normal use in accordance with the documentation provided for a period as stated on the original sales invoice from your reseller. During the warranty period, users may return SVP product(s) for warranty service only for the following reason(s): Product material defect. Product defect. Inability of installation due to CD material defect. The warranty does not apply nor is exclusive to: The damages or problems resulting from misuse, abuse, accident or alteration of the product(s). Any product without a serial number or without its warranty card on file. Any shipping and handling costs for returning the product for warranty purposes. If your SVP product(s) should prove to be defective within the warranty period, we will repair it, or replace if necessary, without charge to you except for all shipping and handling charges incurred.

The shipping and handling charges for the product(s) to be shipped back to the consumer(s):

US$9.99 shipping and handling for all defective units
US$19.99 shipping and handling for all non-defective units (if found to be non-defective by our technician)
US$24.99 shipping and handling for all Canada customers
US$49.99 shipping and handling for all other International customers

The shipping and handling charges will be charged for any warranty requests before service rendered.


If you must ship or mail the product to SVP for warranty service, you must prepay all shipping & handling costs and assume all risks of loss or damage in transit. SVP does not provide any refund policies for end-user customers that purchase its products through retails stores, from resellers or other third parties. Software is not servicable unless is defective. SVP will NOT accept products for warranty service for the follwings: any opened items unless defective and/or damage to the item(s) due to shipping. You must obtain a shipment damage report from your shipper and submit to SVP before obtain RMA number if you must return the product for warranty service.

Before you return the item, call our Customer Serivce at 510-770-8982 to obtain a Return Merchandize Authorization (RMA) number ONLY IF YOU'VE PURCHASED DIRECT FROM US OR FROM AUTHORIZED DEALERS (amended 12-5-2007-doc lcwrma120507)

Note: You MUST obtain a RMA number from SVP in order to return your product for warranty service. Send all original packing materials, manuals, accessories and the product purchased to the following address:

IN NO EVENT SHALL SVP BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR PROFIT OR ANY OTHER DAMAGE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR OTHER DAMAGES (EVEN IF SVP HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES). ALL LIABILITY BY SVP HEREUNDER IS EXPRESSLY LIMITED TO ANY AMOUNTS PAID TO SVP FOR THE PURCHASE OF PRODUCT.

The following returned merchandised conditions will be rejected by SVP:

1. shipment without RMA #, detail contact information, problem descriptions, distributor name and phone #

2. merchandise has been damaged, scratched, disassembled, misused, or any other damages from transportation, handling, or nature causes.

3. Dispute transactions.

SVP (Silicon Valley Peripherals, Silicon Valley Imaging Corp.) agrees to provide repairs services for Product it sells to Distributors. SVP does not accept sales returns. SVP provides one way shipping cost, and Distributors will pay the other. SVP is responsible for the cost of repairs where workmanship defects are identified. SVP will replace Product with new or similar function unit as replacement. SVP will provide RMA # for each return request from Distributor. SVP is not responsible for any return services (including shipping fee) from the shipment that is without SVP assigned RMA #. SVP accepts returns from Distributors only. The Warranty period will be clearly stated on the original sales invoice.
